Shag Cannot Think
Three whites stripes, one half of the Chervon, the identity of a SCT.
My last excercise, EX. Falcon, back in Tekong. Probably my last field excercise as an SCT. Will I be able to Think when I'm Shag? xD

School Of Infantry Specialist here we come,
Soldiers of every creed and race...
Soldiers to Specialist we will become,
Leader of six men to set the pace..
Sispec Warriors, we are the Warriors..
Sispec Warriors, With Pride we will Lead...
Fearlessly we lead with pride,
Train hard full of might,
Train to lead by day and night,
We will strive for greater heights....
Yes, the SISPEC song. Life work in strange ways. When I got into SISPEC, 8 weeks ago, when this song was first introduced, I had no interest in singing, for one, I was still 'hooked' on the 'why-didn't-I-make-it-to-OCS-sadness' stage, but as the 8 weeks fly by, though the thought remain, it grew weaker.. Yesterday, had the Parade Rehearsal for BSLC, as Platoon Best, I stood in front, and was expected to sing, and I realise, "hey, its actually... quite a good song!" Seriously, being an Officer isn't all that great. There's pride for Specialist too!
But just when I was starting to 'develop' feelings for Specialist, I got informed that I managed to pass the board's interview and got to crossover.
The first time I really got to sing the SISPEC song, and it was also the last. =\
Not that I'm not happy, but I know there's ALOT to come, in fact, there's this 2 weeks crash course starting this monday to prep us up before they really send us over.
And I'm alone.
No familiar faces at all.
Let me take the opportunity to thank the people(you know who you are) that have been together for this 8 weeks, and especially those that came together from Pegasus, BSLC was enjoyable because you people are around to make it so, and I know not everyone ended up in the same unit, and for everyone, the journey... has JUST BEGUN! We'll all be taking different paths now, but never forget, we were all once, from ECHO Company! Right? Gentlemen, I upfront tell you all, ECHO is the BEST! =D
and now, the start of a long and lonely route...
13 weeks of BMT,
and now my 8 weeks of BSLC is almost over.
that's 21 weeks.
2 years of NS = 24 months, 96 weeks.
that's... 75 more weeks to go.
what's next?
